Tried the tree today and happy with my results. Still don’t have an ebony pencil so used 2B charcoal. Happy with my results
Sometimes I felt there was too much detail in areas and sometimes not enough. Other times my intuition was saying stop.
Please tell me how to use the stumps. How much the pressure should be. How to create the texture with it. I make the picture just blur with the stump.
Really appreciate all these drawing sessions. I would never have attempted this on my own. Used a Strathmore carbon pencil for the darkest marks
Learning so much about texture and values. Thank you so much nation point
Wow, really impressive!
I really liked the complexity of the value and forms in the photo. First time using a carbon pencil and struggled with it and changed to a 7B graphite to complete. Thanks Scott!
Wonderful work here! I love the mark-making. Nice texture and value control!
Thank you for watching! Your drawing looks great. Nice value control and texture here!
Thank you for watching and posting this! The texture here looks great! You’ve captured the form of the tree very well.
I had forgotten how much I enjoy drawing trees and discovered how out of practice I have become! Thank you for this opportunity to grow and learn.
Thank you for offering these classes. I am relatively new to drawing. Thank you for offering these tutorials. I hope that they continue.
I think I’m still wandering around in the woods someplace….Another challenge, thanks!
Excellent mark-making, Jaci!
The tree was interesting. It had so many moving parts. HA! One thing that I kept thinking…the foreground should be darker…the foreground should be darker…HA! So, I DID make my foreground a bit darker.
