I really enjoyed the tinted charcoal medium. I found the teapot more difficult to render than I thought!
I know that I’m a bit behind with the post. But just wanted to say thank you again for the experience and explanations along the way. I feel like I’m learning
Great job with this! I’m glad to see you giving these tinted charcoals a shot. It can take some getting used to!
This looks great. You managed the challenges of the paper well!
Used sketch paper and vine charcoal along with the tinted charcoal. The paper did not hold the charcoal well, so very easy to smudge the color off.
Hello Scott, here is the teapot from last week. I used Derwent’s tinted charcoal pencils on Arches, heavy textured paper. I am not sure I will be a big fun of the tinted charcoal pencils, as they are very hard, and quite scratchy. I will try them again on different paper, maybe they will feel better.
Thank you for interesting subject, as usual. Greetings from CT.
Here’s my little teapot.
I had to stop. Started with graphite tinted watercolor pencil and ended up with charcoal pencil anyway.
But now
This is wonderful, Pia!
Here is my teapot.
Dear Scott,
thank you very much for the variety of objects. I always have a lot of fun drawing these.
