Thank you another challenging episode. Looking forward to your book coming out!
Thank you!
Hello Scott,
Here is my rendition of bale of hay. When I look at the drawing now, it appears that the bale’s top edge should be slanted more, but I consider the drawing done, as it is only a practice, not a piece to be framed. Created on Legion, 11×14 paper, with Cezanne’s graphite pencils. Thank you for another interesting session and your explanation how the atmospheric perspective works. Urszula
I enjoyed the perspective of this subject and the flattening of hay bales. Thank you for the lesson on handling the grass field and the bale texture.
Everyone did so well at this one.
Colored pencil. Probably keep working on it. Grass in foreground was getting tedious to work on.
I did a small drawing and was not too concerned about accuracy because I wanted to layer colored pencil on top. This picture doesn’t show the color too well. It didn’t come out as I thought but it’s not too bad either. Need more practice with the technique.
Nice! The colored pencil tints the graphite in an interesting way.
Missed over half the Hay Bales session yesterday. Used a quick sketch of the reference image as the basis of a pastel
This looks great!
Today was my first Drawing Together session. Thanks for walking me through it!
Welcome! I hope you enjoyed it. Great drawing!
I wanted to post a quick experiment of colored pencil over (and under) graphite. The picture is of echinacea at the botanical garden.
Nice!
