I am working on the elephant. It’s coming along but I want to get the rough t drier in therev and
I thought this one a challenge. I think that the proportions were okay, but I struggled with the texture. I was a great lesson though. I used General’s Charcoal and Strathmore Charcoal paper.
This looks great!
Strathmore 400 series coal black paper and Ocaldo sketching sticks (very soft). Fun trying-then trying to remember-different materials.
Not sure what this black paper is, but it accepted white pastel and white charcoal. Fun working in reverse. Thank you Scott
Hello Scott,
Here is my impressionistic elephant on Strathmore black, heavy textured paper (9×11), created with white and black soft pastels. That was the only black paper I have. I did not have the drawing tools like you, but had fun using what I have. I noticed before, and now as well, that photo does not reflect the drawing in real life. The photo is too linear.
I used charcoal on blue toned paper. Would liked to have worked on it more but got tired. It was fun.
Loved the elephant, but found the teapot really challenging! I’m getting the hang of using charcoal, though. Thank you, Scott! And… the stuff you talk about is always very inspiring and very well received, no matter if it comes out crooked or not. Thanks again!
