Used Strathmore drawing paper and ebony pencil.
Thanks for the experience!
Finally posting!
Here’s my boat
A great session! A highlight of my week, to tune in and draw!
Sitting on the water makes it looks surreal. I like it!
Thought it looked different from the drawing… I was not locking my aspect ratio when resizing the picture….. will know better for next time lol
Had to stop working on this I kept trying to add more detail but then realize the proportions are slightly off. It’ll float.
Loving this class; thanks, Scott! I feel like my boat appears to be sitting on top of the water instead of in the water; any suggestions? Maybe the size of the reflection is too big, or I need more shading between the boat and the reflection? Thanks for any input!
Thanks Scott for another great Drawing Together session. The angles of the boat are wrong so I did draw a boat, just not the boat in the picture. For some reason I just couldn’t get into this drawing… but pushed myself to finish it, even though I’m not happy with it. Just received my ebony pencils so looking forward to playing with them this weekend on the Older mans eyes.
This was enjoyable and brought back memories of the lakes.
The dock is a bit off with perspective… boat is close , I think.
A little improvement on the reflection as compared to the Heron. And I didn’t count slats, I just wanted to get an impression of the boat on the water. Canson drawing paper, Ebony pencil.
Here’s my boat. Another favorite. Happy 50th episode Scott! May we see many, many more!
