Description
Looking to boost your drawing skills? This course features Stephen Cefalo’s unique approach to the subject, delivered through entertaining and engaging videos! Following his “Foolproof” method, you’ll be amazed by the realism you can achieve in your own work!
Join in the tradition of artists, dating back to the Italian Renaissance, who used the practice of drawing from plaster casts to perfect their drawing skills!
This course covers:
- Observing the subject in a particular way to help you draw realistically.
- Understanding the mechanics of light and shadow.
- Techniques for achieving accurate proportions.
- A process for building values for a convincing illusion of light and shadow.
- Understanding form and volume through value control and surface texture.
It is commonly assumed that drawing technique is mastered by those with “natural talent”, by developing very good hand-eye coordination, or maybe by buying just the right art supplies. In this course, Stephen dispels these myths, and show you that nearly everyone can draw, and no special abilities are required. Basic drawing skills require very little natural ability or creativity, and if you have the hand-eye coordination to operate a vehicle, you probably have the coordination that is required.
Skill Level
This course is right for Beginning and Intermediate level artists.
Format
This course is offered “On Demand” and has no instructor attached to provide feedback on assignments or participate in discussion. You will have access to discussion boards and gallery, where you can share work and ideas with other students in the community. Come join the fun!
